I was born an raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and I bring my “Prairie pragmatism” to the table. I am proud of my prairie heritage and I am a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan for both my undergraduate and law degrees. I was called to the bar in Saskatchewan in 1988, after spending 5 years practicing in my home province, I moved to the West Coast and was called to the BC bar in 1994. I have made my home in North Vancouver since then and have maintained my practice in both North and West Vancouver for the past 24 years. I have practiced exclusively in the area of family law for over 20 years and has been practicing collaborative law since its inception in the greater Vancouver area. I am a member of the BC Collaborative Roster Society, the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, and the North Shore Family Dispute Resolution Group.
In addition to my collaborative training, I am also a certified mediator and I have completed additional training in both integrated mediation and the insight approach to conflict resolution and visual mediation. I believe strongly in a resolution focused approach to disputes, touched with strong doses of both compassion and pragmatism. My goal is always help families move forward.
My life outside of work is a busy wife and mother of two wonderful young men, a school and community volunteer, with time spent on enjoying all that life on the north shore has to offer in the forests and the mountains, with friends and family and our dog!
